In 2010, Central Middle School celebrated it's centennial. An open house celebration was held April 10, 2010 in recognition of the event. Displays of historical photos, memorabilia and drawings by CMS students were featured. The Central School Choir and Jazz Band performed for the public. Central Middle School was constructed in 1909-1910 and designed by architect Charles Finkenbinder.
