I teach Basic Reading here at Central Middle School.
I was born in Billings, Montana but moved a few years later to the beautiful Pacific Island of Guam. I lived there with my family for ten years before moving permanently to the Walla Walla Valley. During the 2004-2005 school year, I worked as a volunteer high-school teacher on the island of Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia. On this idyllic island, I taught U.S. History and 10th Grade Literature to the 40 sophomores at the local high-school. When I returned, I continued my studies and graduated from Walla Walla University in 2007 with a degree in Education and a minor in History.
I currently live in College Place, WA and am enjoying working with the wonderful students and staff here at Central Middle School. During my free time, I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, riding motorcycles and backpacking. I look forward to continuing my work with the youth of Milton-Freewater and meeting more community members.
